About Billing Cranes

Billing Cranes was started in 1992 by Greg Billing and Geoff Gibson. They soon realised that there was need for a reliable and efficient Crane company in the area. They purchased one crane but to meet the demand this grew to be sixteen cranes. In 2007, the company was sold to Hazel Bros, and was later re-purchased under the Billing Cranes banner by Greg and Leanne in 2015. Greg has been in the Mobile Crane industry since 1980 and has built up a vast knowledge base to become a respected leader in the Tasmanian crane industry.

Billing Cranes employs local, experienced personnel and take pride in our reputation for well-executed solutions on highly specialised projects, such as shut downs, maintenance, installations and derailments.

We pride ourselves on having a proactive, innovative approach to getting the job done. Our approach and can-do capability is evident from a reputation as the go-to people for safe, reliable lifting — in any situation.

Our company is grounded in the community and has a culture based on mutual respect, honesty and personal accountability in all our dealings—with each other and our customers. We support many varied community organisations in North-West Tasmania.

In April 2019, Darren Ling joined the Billing Cranes team in the position of General Manager to assist Greg & Leanne mange the business. Darren brings over 30 years experience in the construction industry to Billing Cranes with a key focus on customer delivery and safety.
